Retail Brilliance Award Categories

Emerging Market Retailer of the Year / Small to medium businesses with  Turnover under €30m / Large Business with Turnover €30m+ Emerging Markets Retail Awards recognizes retailers that originate from an emerging market and stand for the successful Business Model, innovation and creativity and its successful execution within the retail business, One of the main criteria being the financial success of the business, measured by taking into account their revenues, profitability, and market capitalisation.Award winner will be a retailer demonstrating a healthy and expanding retail format in a fast developing market, that has being shortlisted in top-10 retailers of its country, and can be seen as an inspirational retailer on the global markets.
Emerging Markets Online Retailer of the Year Eligibility: The business may be a retail outlet, an online business or combination of both, originating from an Emerging Market.
People’s Choice EM Retailer of the Year (FREE) As the name indicates (People’s Choice) the whole process is based on the nominations and voting of the people of the region. Voting will open to the general public in August, and the winners will be honoured at The Retail Brilliance Awards on 17 October 2016. The polls are now open to vote for your favourite business operating in a region to win the People’s Choice Award Category at the Retail Brilliance Awards 2016. All submissions should relate to the period 1/10/2015 – 1/10/2016.

  • The business must have been trading for a minimum of 12 months on the closing date for entries.
  •  The organisation must be a commercial profit making business.
  •  The business may be; a retail outlet, an online business or combination of both.

Step 1: Once you have decided to enter the awards, please visit the registration page and indicate the packages you wish to sign up for.

Step 2: within 24 hours BOC will confirm your registration and issue relevant Invoice, as well as the Award Category specific application forms (to be completed by the entering company)

Step 3: Submit the completed application forms in PDF format by email to: Retail-Awards@boc-uk.com;

Please keep in mind the deadlines for submission, and registration fee payments.
Please note: No Entry will go forward for judging, unless full payment of the Fee is received before judging commences.

An independent judging panel - made up of industry experts and leading companies - will consider the entries and adjudicate.

The judging panel will be sent all category entries, which will then be considered by the panel, the panel will allocate marks out of 100, which will determine the winners of the awards. Scoring criteria includes clarity of objectives, campaign strategy, creativity, campaign execution, use of budget and return on investment. The judges’ decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into concerning their decisions.
